Ash Wednesday
Happy Ash Wednesday and Happy beginning of the Lenten season to all of you. As we embark on this journey of faith, fasting, and reflection, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your support: without you, this community wouldn’t be able to happen.
Starting this Lent, I personally wanted to get more in touch with Christ through prayer and scripture, and I think the following are a great way to start these next 40 days:
2 Cor 5:20
“We are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing though us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
“Lord, I want more than a superficial life, more than paying lip service to my beliefs and values. Help me to answer the call of Lent to prayer, fasting, and service. I want to savor the depth within me and live from that depth.”
In terms of news for Calm Waters Catholic, I am so excited to introduce some new items to our site! New pieces of jewelry are live, with more on the way, and you may have noticed a new category for rosaries: the Saints Collection. As I’ve been creating, I’ve become more and more inspired by our saints, and decided to make rosaries reflecting this. Currently, the new pieces are for Saint Valentine, Saint Brigid, and Saint Patrick. I’ve also been working on new ways to display rosaries, including wall hangings and seashell bowls, which will be available soon! Lastly, I’ve been working on some cross hangings, which I found are perfect for around a doorknob, or anywhere that you’d like to set up a prayer corner!
For the first few days of Lent, I wanted to do something special, since I believe that everyone should have access to wonderful prayer tools, all rosaries from now until Sunday, 2/22/26 are 20% off with the code ASH20.
God Bless,
Laura
